¶Action Photography
I’ve always felt action shots were somewhat of a weak point for me, so I’d like to share some successes from the New Year’s holiday weekend with you. All four of these were taken at the Mt Baker Ski Area. The first is an unknown telemarker descending The Chute, a double-black off Pan Dome:
Next is a friend of mine demonstrating the depth of the powder on Pan Face:
The last two are jumps made by two of my friends. What a way to spend a weekend!
The lighting conditions were pretty difficult throughout the holidays. I think under the conditions my shots came out fairly good, and I’m happy. I think I’m finally starting to get the hang of action shots, although I still find landscapes to be more cooperative.
